September 7, 2016Fitness Tracker slows weight loss?
September 21, 2016Yep, it’s that time of year. Blue Heron Chiropractic does not oppose vaccination, and Chiropractic as a profession does not either. What we do is promote informed choices. What needs to be recognized is that vaccination is only a category – what’s important are the individual VACCINES. They vary. Some are controversial, some even get recalled – different batches have different results – and they are different for every application. Find out which ones your provider is using (ie, live, attenuated, etc) and the format (spray, injection, etc) and just do a little research to make the best choice for you and your kids.
I have had interesting results when I inquired about what vaccine or batch was being used. When I say this, I mean that sometimes I will go to the local Walgreens store to get a quick flu shot, but I want to know which shot it is first. So occasionally, I will hear that recent batches of “live” have had blow-back flu-like results – when the attenuated (dead) vaccines have less of that, but are perhaps less effective. It’s batch by batch, whatever the clinic has. And they are numbered, identified, and the lab they come from is known. A choice can and has to be made.
Your Doctor of Chiropractic should be able to help you with that. They can help identify what vaccines a public facility is using. I don’t think they will get the info from a private primary care clinic, but they can help you interpret it.
If your chiropractor is limiting his or her practice to just musculo-skeletal, they might not be able to help you with this. Give us a call and make an appointment at Blue Heron Chiropractic today.
