Heart & Stroke Walk 2013 – Join us!

The Greater Portland & SW Washington Heart & Stroke Walk is tomorrow, 5/18/2013 in Portland. Join thousands of walkers from Oregon and beyond as they step out to have fun, get inspired, & support a meaningful cause! Starting on the Vera Katz Eastbank Esplanade, the Festival Area Opens at 8:30AM, and The Walk begins at 9:30AM. There is a  3-mile walk & 1-mile optional Survivor Route – participants are more than welcome to run the route, but they are asking that you move to the front of the starting line so that you are ahead of the walkers. You can donate at all levels, and ask for sponsors!  You can find out more about it here, or just be there!

The money raised through the Heart & Stroke Walk funds research, and initiatives that promote the prevention, treatment and better patient care in the areas of cardiovascular disease, the leading killer in the United States. The American Heart Association is the nation’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to building healthier lives, free of heart disease and stroke.
