Connected at Home – What Price Productivity?

The more electronic telecommunications gadgets (iPhone, Blackberry, Facebook, Twitter) a family has, the more likely they are to be in contact with each other. However, statistically, within these families, the intimacy appears to suffer as the quality of the communication goes down. For example, these same families who can find each other by GPS, and shoot text messages back and forth, are less likely to all regularly eat dinner together, engage in deep conversation or schedule family time.
